Guess who got sick two weeks into my freshmen year? ---Yup, that’s me! Me right here…
On Friday, I was about to leave my dorm to catch a bus to my hometown but it started raining like no tomorrow. As soon as I had walked out of the gate, I was soaking wet. Funny thing is, I had an umbrella…which was useless btw. By the time I arrived to the station I was like a wet mop from waist down. And then I went to get my nails done and spent about nine hours in my wet clothes all together. And well…here I am…sick as a dog.
But it didn’t stop me from seeing “IT: Chapter Two” with my soul sister, who hates horror movies but still came with me to watch it. Love you, M!
This isn’t a review, so I’m not going to analyse it’s actors’ performances or give my opinion on camera work but I will say a little about my observation in general. First of all, the trailer was pretty amazing and for me Pennywise was a little scarier compared to the first movie. Chapter Two had a lot of amazing jump scares, I saw most of them coming, because you can just tell…but that didn’t make them any less scary. M watched majority of the movie through her fingers and jumped every time despite of me giving her the heads up. That was pretty entertaining ITself. Get it? Okay, that was cheesy as hell.
I really loved the plot too and especially the ending and how Pennywise was defeated once and for all. It wasn’t the happiest ending persay, but most of the characters survived and got rid of a nightmare that had been a part them for the past 27 years.
Ending!... this reminds me that a couple weeks back I went to the movies to watch “Ready or Not” which was a nicely done scary movie and it kept me on the edge of my seat…until the end… I hate that they brought in the supernatural element at the end, for me, it ruined the film.
With that said, definitely go and check out “IT 2” because it was well worth the wait.
